Execution Steps by Retrieval Method
Preparation & Gathering National ID
Before heading out, make sure you know the 14-digit National ID of the certificate owner, and prepare your valid ID. If you are retrieving it for a distant relative, ensure you have the original Power of Attorney and head to the civil registry office directly as kiosks/online portals won't support it.
Using Smart Automated Kiosks (Fastest option in Malls)
Go to the nearest smart Civil Status registry kiosk. Select 'Birth Certificate', enter your data and the owner's National ID, confirm relationship, and scan your finger/face for biometrics. After confirmation, pay the fee displayed on the kiosk at the time of the request, and the kiosk will print your computerized certificate immediately.
Madam Afaf Warning: If you are in a hurry, smart kiosks in shopping malls are excellent, issuing it very quickly when the service is available. But prepare cash as these machines frequently decline debit cards!
Traditional Retrieval via Civil Registry (Cheapest option)
Visit the nearest Civil Registry office. Buy the retrieval form and pay the announced fee at the time of application at the cashier. Submit the form, your ID, and the owner's details to the officer, who will verify the record in the central database, print, and hand you the certificate.
Online Request & Home Delivery
Log in to the MoI portal or Egypt Digital portal. Create an account with your National ID and factory number. Select 'Mechanized Birth Certificate', enter owner details and delivery address. Pay the announced service and delivery charges shown at checkout, and the certificate will be delivered to your home in 2-4 business days.
