Step-by-Step Guide

١

Heading to Traffic DMV & Medical Checks

Go to the local Traffic DMV corresponding to your ID address. Proceed to the medical testing clinic to perform the eye and internal checkups, determine your blood type, and obtain the two certified health documents.

٢

Buying Form 256 & Preparing Your File

Go to the licensing window and request Form 256. Complete your details carefully, and attach your National ID photocopies, graduation degree copy, 4 personal photos, and medical sheets inside the designated file.

Madam Afaf Warning: The practical driving test at the DMV is no longer just a joke! You must practice diligently on curves, S-turns, U-turns, and parallel parking, because if you fail, you will wait 3 months and pay fees again.
٣

Passing the Written Traffic Signs Exam

You will be guided to the testing room to perform the computerized traffic signs exam. The test consists of multiple-choice questions regarding signs and rules of road priority. Make sure to review signs guidebook carefully before entering!

٤

Performing & Passing the Practical Driving Test

If you pass the written signs test, you proceed to the practical testing yard. The traffic engineer will ask you to drive and perform maneuvers (like S-curves, U-turns, and reverse parking). Calmness and focus are your keys to success here.

٥

Paying License Fees, Digital Photo & Collection

Upon passing all tests, head to the DMV treasury to pay the specified taxes, fees, and license insurance. Then, proceed to the digital photography room to take your license photo, and wait about half an hour to receive your 10-year valid license!
